What do you have to do, in order to send a money transfer via Western Union?
Visit the nearest CCB office. You need a valid ID. Tell our employee the amount of money you wish to send, the destination country and the full names of the payee.
- Our employee will input the money transfer information into the system and will print out a Send Money Form.
Please, check the information on the Send Money Form to make sure that it is correct. Sign the form if everything is right. - After you have paid the principal amount plus the money transfer fees and after you have signed the form our employee will return to you your ID and a copy of the Send Money Form which in fact is your money receipt. On that document you could see the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN – a 10-digit number in bold), as well as the payout amount.
- The money is transferred at the moment you get your receipt with the printed MTCN. Now you have to contact the receiver of the money transfer and communicate to him/her the MTCN. The payee will be able to pick up the money at any Western Union location within his/her country. In order to receive the money the receiver will have to know your full names, the country of origin, the principal amount and the MTCN. The payee must also provide a valid ID.
Important! Send money only to people you know personally, or whose identity you could easily verify. We do not recommend you to use the Western Union money services for any of the following reasons:
- Internet or online auction purchases;
- Fees or charges associated with lottaries or other lucky draws or rewards;
- Lucrative bargains regarding purchase of cars, electrical equipment or other equipment which seems to be too profitable.
To receive a Western Union money transfer:
Visit the nearest CCB office. You need a valid ID. Tell our employee the expected principal amount, the sender’s full names, the country of origin and the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
- Our officer will check your ID and the related transfer information. If the money is already transferred and the information you have provided is correct, the employee will print out a Receive Money Form.
- Please, check the information on the Receive Money Form to make sure that it is correct. Sign the form if everything is right. Our employee will give you the cash money, the receipt document and your ID. You will not be charged for the paid out money transfer.
